I am working on creating sections through the rock pile from the information gathered during my latest site visit. I will base my dimensions on a combination of actual measurements with photos in which I photographed the white pvc pipe. The white pipe is 10' in length, which I can use as a reference when determining overall heights of the pile. I also gathered several pieces of 20' gray piping (hopefully sewage free) to establish the precise location for the ramp. This was a bit challenging and it took several tries in order to get the slope right. I was definitaly getting negative attention from the neighbors because seriously a dude in all black crawling around a pile of boulders carrying giant pieces of pvc piping must have seemed a bit unusual.
These pictures show the height of the different rock landings. The natural slope of the site in combination with the slope of the rock creates an opportunity for dramatic overlook views without building excessive ramping.
